Brittany's Medical

Hi, my name is Doreen and I have started a fund raiser for Brittany Wester. Brittany is my daughter.

Last December, her and her boyfriend, Lebi moved to Texas with hopes of creating a new adventure for themselves and their cats. They wanted to enjoy the warm weather and sunshine. The adventure didn't start out as well as anticipated. When Brittany was only one hour from her dad's house, she had a car accident. A good Samaritan stopped to assist her, called 911 and she was then transported to the ER. Brittany had a first-time seizure, which is still to be determined as the cause.

Brittany has a job but due to a concussion and the effects of the seizure have made it hard for her to drive the 1.5 hours to work. She has established a primary care provider and many things have come out from that visit. For some unknown reason, her insulin levels are too high, which means her pancreas is creating too much insulin. She will have a CT of the abdomen to determine if there are tumors in the pancreas. She will be also having a consultation with an Endocrinologist. She also is in the care of a Neurologist, which she will be undergoing an EEG and MRI of the brain to determine the cause of the seizure. She is also taking antiseizure medication.

As one can see, her medical bills are adding up quickly and her COBRA medical insurance has run out. She cannot afford the $600 a month to pay for this. She is currently working on obtaining health insurance but until such time, has nothing to cover her. We know that the medical facilities will work with her, but she will ultimately have to pay these bills.

We are not ones to ask for help, but this situation warrants it in our eyes. My husband and I want to help her in any way that we can, but we are also asking if you can help too.
