Nicholas “Chito” Hernandez
Yesterday our beautiful Nicholas (AKA Chito, Chito Burrito, Cream Puff, Mr. Chewy) was admitted into the intensive care unit at Phoenix Children's Hospital. He has been battling Covid over the last week and unfortunately has now acquired pneumonia requiring that he be placed on a ventilator for added support. He is currently stable but he is in for a long road ahead. His mother is also battling Covid and is having to stay in a hotel across the street from the hospital while she is trying to recover. His dad is by his side taking care of him never leaving. We are currently working on bringing his brother Jacob who is serving our country overseas home to be with his brother. We are asking for help. Neither my brother or sister can work at this time. Right now we are concerned with my sister being able to stay close to her son. We are concerned with being able to get them food and medicine and things that they need to survive while Nicholas is hospitalized. The last thing they need to worry about is bills and where to pull from one place to pay for the other. My brother is active duty Navy retiring this month after 21 years of dedicated service. They are in need of help to get by during this trying time. The love and prayers and support that you have all been sending our way since Nicholas' admission has been astounding. We feel your prayers. Nicholas feels them too. He's resting and letting his body heal and we are so grateful for any milestone he will reach. God is good. Nicholas is currently wrapped in his loving arms and all of his angels are over him holding him, loving him, encouraging him until he can return safely to our arms. He is a gentle soul. A loving and giving young man who is loved beyond measure. If you can please help in any way, we would appreciate it. We are grateful for anything that can help ease their minds so they can focus on Nicholas' recovery. Please continue to pray. Our God is good. He hears us. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you. God Bless.
