Ye You Productions was founded in August 2023 by Olivia Lindsay and is dedicated to developing and producing innovative new writing. Our mission is to elevate the voices of female and culturally diverse theatre creators, embedding inclusivity and a range of perspectives into every phase of the creative process.
In October 2023, Ye You Productions marked its first foray into the theatre scene, with the sold-out show Picture This at Marylebone Theatre, in collaboration with the Arvon Foundation. The evening featured original pieces written specifically for the event, showcasing the talents of renowned writers including, Mike Bartlett (Olivier Award Winner), Amy Rosenthal (Sunday Times Drama Award), and Oli Forsyth (Best off West End Production), setting the stage for future creative endeavors. Following this success, Ye You Productions is launching its debut full production Conversations After Sex.
In our effort to bring CAS to the stage, we applied for Arts Council Funding which we sadly weren't able to secure. In the current landscape of the creative arts only 10-20% of applicants are successful.
More than ever, the arts and especially young creators like ourselves are struggling to get projects off the ground and rely on generous donors to make this possible. Your donation will be supporting the next generation of creators and bring crucial stories to life.
We would be forever grateful if you could help us reach our budget total (please do be in touch if you would like to see a full budget breakdown).
All our gratitude and very best wishes.
About the play:
Set in Ireland, the play is a powerful exploration of themes around connection, intimacy, grief, and self-discovery, following a female protagonist, referred to only as ‘She’, whose candid post-coital dialogues with various men—portrayed by a single male actor—unearth the emotional landscapes of modern relationships. It’s witty, poignant, and brutally unfiltered.
The play won Best Play at the Irish Theatre Awards in 2022, and this will be its London premiere.
CAS will strive to create a vital space for audiences who often feel underrepresented in traditional theatre and beyond the theatre walls, we hope to foster meaningful discussion around its themes by encouraging community connection and understanding – inviting audiences to engage critically with the material, making them active participants in the conversation, at a time when discussions about intimacy, grief, and identity are so important.

Hotter/Fitter double bill by Mary Higgins and Ell Potter at the Soho Theatre
I can not exaggerate enough that today’s generation needs more theatre like this. Where the concept of how our society came to be is not shoved down your throat but presented, questioningly in an opened-palm. London Theatre Reviews ★★★★★
Developed and directed by Jess Edwards, this is a fully loaded hour that still manages to remain subtle. Lucas jams at the keys of her piano as she coaxes out her internal conflicts and the hidden denials of white middle classes that they’d probably rather forget. Lucas is a writer and actor of rare magnetism – we should be waiting eagerly for what she says next. The Guardian ★★★★
The power of the play, which is beautifully performed by Lucas and cleverly directed by Jess Edwards, is the way it strips bare limiting assumptions. What’s Onstage ★★★★
A beautifully light touch and mercurial physicality (directed by Jess Edwards). A gem of a show that unpicks the history behind easy assumptions and lazy labels. The Financial Times ★★★★
Albatross by Isley Lynn at the Playground Theatre
albatross. draws strength from Jessica Edwards’s playfully precise direction and her impressive cast. A confident ensemble of six tackle the play’s moving parts—physical and otherwise—with great finesse. The Arts Desk ★★★★
