Help Mike Rebuild After A Motorcycle Accident

We're fundraising for our dear friend, Mike Harbaugh, who is facing a challenging chapter in his life. On Friday, August 18, Mike was traveling through his hometown of Wadsworth, OH, when he was involved in a devastating motorcycle accident that left him with severe injuries, ultimately leading to the amputation of his left leg from the mid-calf down. This unexpected tragedy has turned Mike's world upside down.

Mike has always been a fighter and is a survivor in every sense of the word. From overcoming a previous battle with testicular cancer to conquering his struggles with drugs and alcohol, Mike has demonstrated an indomitable spirit that's nothing short of inspirational. With over 16 months of hard-earned sobriety under his belt, he attributes much of his strength and success to the support he's received from his friends and family, his sponsor, and the people he’s met through Alcoholics Anonymous.

But now, Mike faces a new kind of challenge – rebuilding after this life-altering accident. Mike loves his job as a carpenter and is a valued member of Carpenter's Local Union No. 285 in North Canton, OH. He's determined to get back to work as soon as he can, however, the road ahead won't be easy. It will take several months of healing before Mike can be fitted for his new prosthetic, which he needs to gain the mobility and independence necessary to return to his job. In the meantime, he’ll need help with his everyday expenses, like rent and car payments, as well as his mounting medical bills.
