Paige, Sam and Brie’s flooded home.

Hello everyone,

We are Brie and Sam, and Paige, and our home has been destroyed.

During the Brisbane floods this past weekend, starting on Friday February  25th, our beloved home on Elmes Rd in Rocklea was engulfed by flood waters. The three of us, plus our pets, have lost everything except for what we could fit in a to go bag.

Our two story home including a has been completely submerged. Only the roof is now visible.

All furniture, electrical appliances, computers, kitchen items, white goods, beds, mattresses, linen, clothing and personal effects will need to be thrown away due to the extended period under water, because of the burst sewage pipes and brown water. Looters have also been reported in our area and we are terrified what little left is salvageable will be gone. We will need to disinfect everything we own.

Unknowingly, our insurance had lapsed and the three of us will have to start from scratch as well as embark on a lengthy renovation and repair to make the property liveable again. We will need to pay for cleaning products, disinfectant, replacement essentials like mattresses and white goods, as well as work clothes, along with all the other things that make a house liveable.

We are completely overwhelmed and broken by this whole process and would deeply appreciate any donations or sharing of our Go Fund Me to try and start to rebuild.
