Road to Recovery

Hi, my name is Kari and I’m Dawn McAnulty's sister.

I'm sure you’re all aware by now that Dawn received her liver transplant that we have all been praying for. We’re all so grateful for this miracle and praise God for saving her from her disease.

My mother and I were able to spend a few days with her when she came home so Dale could continue to work. Unfortunately, she needed to return to UCSF because her liver enzymes were off. We’re confident she’s in good hands and her attitude is great - which I believe is because of her faith and the support group she has.

With that said, I see a real need for some financial support while Dale has to take so much time off of work. He has exhausted his vacation pay and sick time already and the hard part is just beginning. Dale will have to be transporting her to and from UCSF often for her ongoing post-operative care. Gas prices, taking time off to care for her and get her to appointments are creating financial stress.
