Funeral and memorial for my mother María

 

On January 5th, 2022, my mother Maria Angelica Ramirez Ramos passed away around 7am in the morning. For 3 days my mother became severely ill. It started with a dry cough & than led to body aches. On the second day my mom became so scared of it being COVID 19 she wanted to be treated at home. My mother is not from the USA and does not speak English, she was highly anxious. She lost her sense of taste and smell on the second day. On the third day my mom came rushing into my room at 5am waking both me & my sister up. She couldn't lift herself up anymore she was so scared & continuously told me how she did not want to go to the hospital for the fear of her passing. That same day I went to get her medicine for COVID 19. It was not successful she was hyperventilating & eventually lost consciousness due to lack of oxygen to the brain. She could not speak to me no more but she could only see me. We called 911 and for several hours we had no update. Eventually we were told that my mother, because of her diabetes (TYPE 2), she had DKA (Diabetic ketoacidosis) and was tested positive for COVID 19. The doctors explained to me they gave her several rounds of insulin and asked me for approval to insert a catheter ablation. My moms state became so bad the doctor confirmed to me she was not going to make it. My mother leaves behind my young sister Jennifer and my little brother who is diagnosed with Autism. My mom was afraid. She did not want to leave. She fought until she couldn't. My mom is a warrior. My mom had a heart of gold regardless of the setbacks she had. She always made sure we were okay, fed & healthy. She is now at peace in Gods glory. I wish this was all a dream it happened too fast. Every donation will be used to fund my mothers burial and memorial service and other funds to support my younger siblings. Your soul will live on forever mama.

El 5 de enero de 2022 falleció mi madre María Angélica Ramírez Ramos alrededor de las 7 de la mañana. Durante 3 días mi madre se enfermó gravemente. Comenzó con una tos seca y luego provocó dolores corporales. El segundo día, mi madre se asustó tanto de que fuera COVID 19 que quería que la trataran en casa. Mi madre no es de Estados Unidos y no habla inglés, estaba muy ansiosa. Perdió el sentido del gusto y el olfato el segundo día. Al tercer día, mi madre entró corriendo a mi habitación a las 5 de la mañana y nos despertó a mí y a mi hermana. Ya no podía levantarse, estaba tan asustada y continuamente me decía que no quería ir al hospital por miedo a su muerte. Ese mismo día fui a buscar su medicamento para el COVID 19. No tuvo éxito, estaba hiperventilando y finalmente perdió el conocimiento debido a la falta de oxígeno en el cerebro. No podía hablarme más pero solo podía verme. Llamamos al 911 y durante varias horas no tuvimos ninguna actualización. Finalmente, nos dijeron que mi madre, debido a su diabetes (TIPO 2), tenía CAD (cetoacidosis diabética) y dio positivo en la prueba de COVID 19. Los médicos me explicaron que le dieron varias rondas de insulina y me pidieron aprobación para insertar una ablación con catéter. El estado de mi madre se volvió tan malo que el médico me confirmó que no iba a sobrevivir. Mi madre deja atrás a mi hermana menor Jennifer y a mi hermano pequeño a quien se le diagnosticó autismo. Mi mamá tenía miedo. Ella no quería irse. Ella luchó hasta que no pudo. Mi mamá es una guerrera. Mi mamá tenía un corazón de oro a pesar de los contratiempos que tuvo. Ella siempre se aseguraba de que estuviéramos bien, alimentados y sanos. Ahora está en paz en la gloria de Dios. Desearía que todo esto fuera un sueño, pasó demasiado rápido. Cada donación se utilizará para financiar el funeral y el servicio de mi madre y otros fondos para apoyar a mis hermanos menores. Tu alma vivirá para siempre mamá.
