Johns road to recovery

Hello everyone,

On Friday morning John was in a freak accident helping his dear friend on his property. Unfortunately for him, the boom lift he was on tipped over from about 6-7 meters high, throwing him out of the bucket when it fell. He certainly had his angels looking out for him that day as right below him were the cattle grids and steel steps and yet he landed on the field of grass beside it.

He went into cardiac arrest when the ambulance arrived! His injuries include collapsed lungs, broken ribs, jaw, nose, elbow, arm and femur and has fractured eye sockets. He punctured his bowel multiple times and had to have surgery to repair this.

The scans showed bruising around the brain so he was flown to Townsville hospital to be accessed by a neurologist and to monitor the swelling.

In a few days time he’ll start to have surgery for all his other issues!

His femur is currently pinned & braced to keep it stable.

It will be a long road to recovery with all the multiple surgeries planned for him.

For anyone who knows John, knows how generous and loving he is. He will go out of his way to help anyone in need. He believes his purpose in life is to inspire and guide people to be their ultimate self.

The moment you engage and speak with him, you are instantly moved by the way he expresses all the positivity he believes in. John is responding well to treatment so far and is fighting hard. It’s not his time yet; he always says he’s going to live to be 108!

I’m setting this gofundme up on behalf of my parents to help out with the costs of living - bills and expenses that need to be paid whilst mums in hospital by John’s side.
