A Cappella Academy 2023!

My name is Gabby Davis, and I'm a 17-year-old from Centerville, Ohio.

Last month, I auditioned for A Cappella Academy, a competitive and highly selective 10-day summer intensive camp in Los Angeles, California, invested in students of the A Cappella world. Academy is an international program that accepts less than 100 students per year, and I’m thrilled to have been accepted...for the second time! I’m incredibly elated and eager to attend again this summer…however, it is an expensive commitment and I am seeking your support! I have been singing ever since I could talk. My mom constantly reminds me that my name is a “perfect fit” because I'm a consistent contributor to noise (i.e. talking, singing, etc.) I am the youngest person at my church to lead congregational worship on Sunday mornings. I love being in a community of people who want to perform, it's constantly exciting. I became very devoted to my music and even started writing my own! Now, as a senior in high school, I am FULLY INVOLVED in my school’s choir program, as well as being in the award-winning A Cappella group, Forte A Cappella. This commitment to the art of a cappella has made me realize my love for music, and my desire to continue it.

With all of your support last year, I was able to attend Academy. My experience last summer at Academy truly changed my life. I met people who I know will be my lifelong friends, I gained so many important and memorable moments with people I have looked up to for my entire life, and I learned such important musical and life lessons. I would not trade my experience at Academy for anything in the world...and I am so excited to experience that again. And I would love your help getting there.

The tuition for Academy is $2,500, not including airfare to and from Los Angeles. My end goal is to raise enough money to cover airfare and any additional expenses not covered by the financial scholarship. The deadline for all donations is MARCH 31st. ANY AMOUNT HELPS because in the end, IT ALL ADDS UP! Even if you cannot give financially, I would appreciate you sharing this page with people you know!
