Gastric Pacemaker Surgery

My husband, Connor Mckelroy is in need of immediate surgery soon. Connor has been a type 1 diabetic for 16 years. In 2020, Connor had gotten diagnosed with gastroparesis. Connor has been to the hospital every month since 2020 because the gastroparesis has become unmanageable. Connor has been put on all medications that he was able to be put on to help manage the gastroparesis. Because Connor is a type 1 diabetic it makes managing gastroparesis hard. Connor has gone through DKA (Diabetic ketoacidosis) or has gotten close to being in DKA (Diabetic ketoacidosis) due to his gastroparesis each time he has been admitted into the hospital. Since 2020, Connor has been admitted into the hospital over 30 times. Connor is needing to get a pacemaker put into his stomach in order for him to live a sustainable life. The pacemaker will help manage his gastroparesis and diabetes better. The pacemaker is the only option left to help Connor live. His doctor's has told him that there is no other option other than getting a pacemaker in order for him to live.
