Aadi's college education

We are deeply saddened that Aparna (fondly known as Abi) passed away suddenly on Aug 15th from a septic infection even as she prepared for a long and hard battle with cancer. The speed with which she was taken was astonishing and completely overwhelming for her family, friends and colleagues. Abi touched innumerable lives as a beloved teacher, friend and colleague. She nurtured people with a deep sense of kindness and gentleness that was unique only to her. She had a beautiful radiant smile that has etched her sweetness in our memories forever.

Her greatest goal in life as a single mother was the growth and well-being of her son Aadi, who she was able to nurture to the best of her abilities to the tender age of 19. We love Aadi and the extended family will rally around this incredibly smart young man and provide him with a strong support infrastructure. In the meanwhile, as Aadi embarks on college we set up this page as a way to honor his dearest mom and ensure that her life's effort continues.
