Aaliyah's heart journey

We are the Montoya family we live in Santa Fe new Mexico. we have 3 kids, Joshua Jr (13), Aaliyah (11) and Aria (7). Aaliyah was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy when she was 10 years old. She was tested for this heart condition because her brother Joshua Jr had dilated cardiomyopathy when he was 4 and received a heart transplant after a few close calls. Aaliyah was doing great until 10/8/22 . Aaliyah is now in full blown heart failure and requires to be moved to aurora children's hospital in Colorado to get on a heart transplant list with an unknown time frame. Aaliyah was in Albuquerque NM with plans to be transported early Sunday morning 10/9/22 to children's hospital Colorado when the most devastating thing happened, her heart stopped on the way to the flight and she was rushed back to the hospital where they did their absolute best to resuscitate her for over an hour. When they revived her they then had to put her on life support. She was then stable enough to be flight lifted out and made it to Colorado on 10/11/22. But her battle is not over, she now is fighting the life support and they had to perform emergency surgery and kept her sedated until she is put on yet another life support device. After all that she then still has to wait in the hospital until a donor heart is available. We have to uproot our family of 5 to another state so we are sure she gets the care she needs and so we know we can be here through all this scaryness.

She doesn't understand why this is happening to her and we want to make sure we make it as safe and secure for her as we possibly can and because there is so much going on unfortunately we are both unable to continue to work. Aaliyah is the most kind and strong willed girl we know and we appreciate any help during this hardship thank you all for your support.
