Aaron Betts medical expenses, house hold bills etc

Hi, my name is Tana Smith I am Aaron’s sister-in-law. Back in 2011 on a fire call my Aaron had an Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm that dissected which was a cause of an undiagnosed medical condition he had called Marfan’s Syndrome. At this time he underwent a 12+ hour surgery to save his life. This was a very scary time for us all not knowing if he would survive. Aaron is a very proud man who will never ask for help. This is why I am asking for help for his family.

He is a family man. Married to my sister Stephanie for 18 years this April, with two amazing children Cayden who will be 18 in August and is set to graduate this June and Dakota who will be 14 this March. Cayden has learned almost everything he knows from his dad whom he idolizes.

Now 12 years later his dissection that was repaired in 2011 is growing larger and he has to undergo more surgeries to repair these new dissections. He will undergo a 13+ hour surgery on 3/15/24 one of two major surgeries to help repair the damage again. He is not able to work right now and will not be able to work for months if ever again. This surgery could potentially cause a stroke and the second could potentially cause paralysis or even death because of the length of time in the surgery. This is an incredibly scary time for our whole family as we all love Aaron very much. There insurance will cover some of the cost but not all. Steph’s going to have to miss a lot of work during the beginning part of this battle. Medical costs, household bills and other cost of living expenses are going to build up and they could use help with covering the costs while he is out of work. Family will be helping as much as possible but if you can help with anything they will be greatly appreciated. If you do not want to help via gofundme you could also go to any UW Credit Union and drop money off in their name Stephanie or Aaron Betts. At some point I will try to set up a food chain to help with food for the first few weeks after he has his surgery to help ease Stephanie’s load as she will be caring for her husband. I will do anything to help reduce even a little stress from their minds.
