Help Aaron Fight Brain Cancer

Hi, my name is Winona Gbedey, and I am fundraising for my younger brother, Aaron. Aaron is 25 years old. He enjoys trying new recipes, playing video games, participating in sports, and playing with our cats and dog. He is currently pursuing higher education. He is one of the kindest, most generous people I know.

At the end of September, he was found to have a large (4 cm) tumor in his thalamus - a region of the brain that is difficult to access through surgery - after experiencing worsening headaches, somnolence, and confusion. Biopsy later confirmed a Grade 4 Malignant Glioma. Because of the location of the tumor, he cannot undergo surgery, but he recently completed radiation. These tumors are highly aggressive and have very high mortality rates. Overall prognosis is not good, but he is doing well right now and we are hopeful.

Unfortunately, his insurance refuses to cover any of his medical bills. Because of his diagnosis, his physicians recommended that he stop working. He currently has tens of thousands of dollars of medical bills that we cannot afford and his cancer treatment center does not offer fee assistance.

Even a little bit goes a long way. Please help us in whatever way you can so that we can continue pursuing treatment. Prayers are very much welcome as well. Thank you so much.
