Aaron Hayes needs help to get back on his feet.

Hi, in late March Aaron had a terrible accident, whereby a simple slip and fall at home has resulted in terrible spinal damage. We are all looking at a positive outcome, but we just don't know where his recovery will end.

In the meantime, he is living without an income and will be facing significant bills over the coming months in hospitalisation, recovery and potential lifestyle devices. Simply giving what you can will help him immensely, towards his quality of life moving forward.

Aaron doesn’t ask for anything, so some of the people who have worked with Aaron over the last few years have put this together to help him out.

Hi everybody, just wanted to give you all a quick update. 5 weeks ago today, I had an unfortunate fall at home, resulting in a spinal cord injury, having no feeling from my shoulders down. I underwent emergency surgery that night. Just wanted to let everybody know that I’m currently in hospital and will be for some time. Also want to let you know that I’m in good spirits. I’m very slowly getting some feeling and movement back. It’s going to be a long road to recovery and I’m going to do everything in my power to try and get back to the way life was before the accident, but we just don’t know what the future holds. I wanted to say a special thank you to the most supportive girlfriend a man could have Sarah Morris - I love you so much ❤️ Also thank you to my brother Peter Hayes who flew out to see me, Sarah’s family (who were by my side when I first went to hospital) and my extended family for all your support, especially Aunty Justine Mallise. I’ll keep everybody updated on how my recovery is going over the next few months. Onwards and upwards!
