Remembering Aaron. Our beautiful, funny and gentle souled son was diagnosed with Type one Diabetes at the age of 18. A diagnosis that he struggled with right to the end and the disease that took him from us. Aaron was well known on the music scene around Harrogate and the wider district and also for his barbering, a job he loved. He was loved by many but not everyone saw or realised his struggles with his diabetes and the impact it had on his mental health also. Aaron struggled with managing his blood sugars and keeping his diabetes in check and this constant roller coaster had a huge impact on his mental health. I need your help….. yesterday we received confirmation from Andrew Jones that the campaign for mental health and diabetes will be taken back to parliament. I am now looking for a councillor that has type 1 diabetes or has a great deal of knowledge of the condition. I have already been made aware of teenagers and young adults that need extra support. Please share this post far and wide so we can find the right professional.
