Aaron Ludwig

Aaron Jerome Ludwig, 37, died unexpectedly July 14, 2023.  He was born August 26, 1985 in Fairbanks, AK.  Aaron is the son of Lyle Ludwig and Leah Arabie.   Aaron was a very passionate, loving and generous man. His son, Luke, meant the world to him.  When spending time together, it was hard to say who was having the most fun.  His immense love for Luke was immeasurable. Aaron showed great love for his family and friends.  He had a special ability to see and appreciate the positive uniqueness in others.    Aaron also had a very special bond with his extended family.  He thought of Dyaren, Walcer, Cyrus and Eli Needham as family, loving each of them very much. His parents, siblings, grandparents, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends were very special and important to Aaron.  When needed he was always willing and wanting to help, including helping his grandparents with shoveling and shopping or planning fun events for Luke, relatives and friends.  Aaron made many very close, lifelong friends throughout his life, including David, Josh, Ivan, Sean “Ford”, Leslie, Jessica, Mike “Guzzi”, Silva and several other close friends.   Aaron resided in North Pole, Healy and Fairbanks, Alaska.  He enjoyed visiting his relatives in Wisconsin and cheering on the Green Bay Packers.  He graduated from Tri-Valley High School in Healy, AK.  During high school he played on the school basketball team and was employed by Stampede Panarama Pizza.  After high school Aaron worked at Flowline, followed by A & A Roofing Co., where he worked as a roofer and foreman.  During winter months Aaron worked as a travel guide sharing his extensive knowledge, excitement and pride of Alaska with tourists, from whom he received many wonderful reviews. Aaron was a very hard working and dedicated employee. Aaron is survived by his son, Luke, his father, Lyle, his brother, Garrett (Felicia) Dana (Charles Smoke), his uncles, Bill Ludwig, Gary Ludwig (Mary) (WI), Ron Birschbach (WI), Bo Hoth, John Arabie (Vicky), Stanford Arabie, Aunt Tanya, many nieces, nephews and cousins in Alaska and Wisconsin.  He was preceded in death by his mother, aunt, Carol Birschbach (WI), grandparents, Erna and Jerry Ludwig (WI), Beulah and Allen Hoth (AK) and his extended family son, Cyrus Needum.   Aaron will be remembered as a loving, generous, insightful, hardworking and fun loving unique individual, as well as a lifelong Packer fan.  Aaron touched the lives of so many others. He will truly be missed.  We take comfort in knowing that he is in God’s loving care, with the blessing of eternal life in heaven. Aaron’s family would like to give a special thank you to the 911 operator and to the Fairbanks police and fire departments. 
 Aaron’s funeral will be at Chapel of Chimes Funeral Home, 415 Illinois St., Fairbanks, AK. 
There be a viewing aim Friday the 28th from 4-6pm 
And a viewing from 11-12 on Saturday followed by services til 1 pm. He will then be buried at the birch hill cemetery.
