Jeff and Stacey want to share their sincere gratitude and thanks for everything you have done. Your generosity will help immensely during Aaron's hospital stay and with the much-needed upcoming support such as therapies, follow-up visits, and so much more. They feel the love from every one of you. Thank you all!

Update 6/26

I wanted to share a very positive update on Aaron with everyone. The doctors have slowly turned off the sedation over the last few days. He's been squeezing his parent's hands, and giving a thumbs up, wiggling toes and raising eyebrows when asked. He has also been moving some extremities when he wants to and not just when being asked. He does still have the ventilator, but he has been breathing on his own. His intracranial pressure has decreased to 12 (with 4-10 being normal). Because of this, they've been able to start thinking about removing the drains from his head completely. Hopefully, by tomorrow they can perform an MRI and check for any other damage to his neck or other areas.

He’s come a long way! Hoping for another quiet day of rest for him and then hopefully tomorrow will be a big day for Aaron. There's still a long road ahead and a lot of work left to do, but everyone is encouraged by the progress so far.

I know you are all out there thinking of and praying for him and we are very appreciative of EVERYTHING you have all done! Please keep all of the love coming. I'll try to have another update out soon.

Update 6/21:

The neurologist was able to remove one of the drains from Aaron's head. He still has one on top. The pressure on his brain has been starting to stabilize and he is not running a fever. He is still heavily sedated. The doctor is hoping that there will be just a few more days of this before they can attempt to wake him back up. Please continue to pray for Aaron and his family.

We hit our expanded goal! We are so thankful for everyone that has stepped up to help. Just because we hit the goal doesn't mean we have to stop. There will be months and months of recovery and many unexpected expenses for the family.

Please, if you can, we appreciate any help you can provide. Please continue to share this with your family and friends.

THANK YOU ALL!

Update:

I took a little break only to come back and see the overwhelming response to my call to help. Needless to say, it is incredible. We met the original goal and I belive we can do more. The love and support their family is receiving is uplifting. On behalf of Aaron and the rest of the family, all I can say is, THANK YOU!

We feel the love and we appreciate the support. You are all amazing!

Original:

On June 16th, Aaron Roach, at just 20 years old, had his life plans come to a halt due to a tragic motorcycle accident. The accident occurred in Litchfield and he was airlifted to St. John's Hospital in Springfield shortly after.

Hi, my name is Adam Roach, and I'm fundraising to help my nephew Aaron and his family during this difficult time.

Aaron has suffered a severe injury to his head and brain, requiring him to be intubated for the time being. The damage to his head has caused brain swelling, requiring the doctors to remove a portion of his skull to fight the swelling and bleeding. As Aaron fights in the ICU to recover, his family has been by his side every minute of each day and will continue to be for the foreseeable future.

Unfortunately, the full nature of his injuries and path to recovery is unknown. But we do know that it is going to be a long and difficult one.

This fundraiser is expected to help alleviate the pressures of medical bills, meals, potential hotel stays, gas, and any other unexpected expenses that will certainly occur in the coming weeks and months. We are hoping to help ease the burden the family will have during this difficult time and allow Aaron to focus on his recovery. Any donation you can make will be greatly appreciated. If you are unable to donate at this time, we understand and would appreciate anyone who shares this Go Fund Me with their family and friends.
