Help Aaron Collins recover & relocate following Assault

My Name is Leonard Tindal and I am organizing this Crowdfunding for my long time friend and colleague Aaron Collins.

On September 3rd, 2023 in downtown Guelph, Ontario, therapist Aaron Collins was viciously attacked by a group of 6 men, leaving him with severe physical and psychological injuries. This assault was completely unprovoked and brutal, and has left Aaron in an awful situation. Due to his injuries, he has been unable to work and afford rent, leading to a current state of homelessness. Aaron is now dealing with abuse from the neighbours around his camp accumulating to people throwing fire crackers on his tent trying to burn it down with him in it. Through all of this Aaron is trying to navigate sudden poverty while healing from a traumatic brain injury and extreme pain, and needs your help.

Sadly, Aaron has no supportive family and only a few friends that help, and it’s not enough.

The police have failed as they had arrested 4 of the gang but released them all the next day, 1 with a minor charge and 3 with no charges at all. The gang was actually about 12 men and the others that were not attacking Aaron were filming it, so they have clear footage of what Aaron looks like. Aaron needs to relocate away from Guelph for his own safety or at least become housed again.

There is a court case proceeding, but the reality is that there will be no financial compensation for Aaron, leaving him to deal with the repercussions on his own.
