Aaron's Path to Healing and Recovery

Hello friends….my name is Kristy and I’m the mom to five amazing kids.
My son, Aaron, is the wonderful soul that made me a boy mom 20 years ago.
Aaron has given me permission to share his story in hopes of getting him the proper help he needs.
Aaron has suffered with severe depression, anxiety and has been diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. 2024 was rough for him and in December alone we saw the inside of 6 different emergency rooms throughout the valley, due to self harm and suicidal ideation. Thankfully after 48 hours in the most depressing ER room I’ve ever seen, On December 30th he was admitted to The Huntsman Mental Health Institute and due to your generosity on January 6th me moved to a residential treatment facility. He is a strong and courageous young man and agrees that residential treatment is what he needs to set up his life for a successful and beautiful future, and I’m so proud of him for wanting to seek that help.
Things have been constantly changing over the past 3 days as we’ve been seeking somewhere for help. I think it was all meant to be that Huntsman helped us to find a residential treatment center that is a good fit for him. This facility does not have room and board costs as we were previously expecting. Because of this our expected cost reduced significantly and is certainly much more attainable for me, especially with the help I’ve been given so far. I actually feel like I can breathe again!
Because of your help my son moved from Huntsman on January 6th to his new home for the next 6 weeks. Because of your help he is getting the help he needs. Because of your help my son has a new chance at getting healthy and seeing life in a new light. Because of your help my son is still with us.
Due to this unexpected and added blessing to manifest in this adventure, I have reduced the goal amount down to $4,200. Any surplus that there is after paying for all of his recent medical expenses will be used for follow up therapy appointments, which will be the key to his continued success.
I cannot tell you how thankful I am for the outpouring of generosity from family and friends and complete strangers.
It was a difficult decision to ask for help, but it has been a beautiful experience for me to be the recipient of so much kindness. I pray that one day I can bless the lives of countless others, as you have mine and most certainly my son.
The world is a messy place, but I genuinely believe in the goodness of humanity and am so hopeful for my son that one day, with proper help, he will see that perspective as well. And I know that the world will benefit from his kind and caring soul being a part of humanity, and I’m eternally grateful he is still with us.
There really are no words to express the gratitude that I have at any help you can provide.
Thank you.
