Aba Therapy and College Fund for Ashton and Amelia

My sister Deidre Graham Silas was a DCFS worker that went the distance for her children and family while in her care. Unfortunately while providing services she was taken from this world by someone who I shall call a monster. She did not deserve what happen to her under any circumstances, the day will come and the whole world will see and feel the pain that our Family is going through. What happened to my sister should have never happened and the world deserve to know and needs answers.
The purpose for this fund is for her children. Her husband André Silas will no longer be able to come home and smell the Jamaican food cooking in the air, their daughter Amelia who is just 2 years old will no longer hear her mom sing to her, play with her, or struggle to tidy her room up with Amelia coming in behind her pulling down her toys just so mom can pick them up again.
Her son Ashton who is 5 years old and still not talking as he is autistic will not be able to come to his mom to comfort him after watching his favorite show that also makes him cry, he won’t be able to bring his bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios for constant refills. They both have bad allergies, Ashton is lactose intolerant and Amelia has a severely milk allergy. It makes her throw up she also has an egg allergy. Ashton is allergic to peanuts, fish, wheat and sesame. He has also had a few speech therapy classes but still has not said his first words and his Mother will never be here to hear them once he does.
My sister was the smartest person I know, she loved to write papers any time I had an essay due during my high school and college days and needed any help or advice she would be more than happy to help, she always went above and beyond any way she could. She made a huge accomplishment and decided to let the world know and wrote a book. The crowns I Wear which is available on Amazon and is a great read that everyone should go and support as that is a biography of who my sister was and what she meant to the world. You see Deidre’s children are very special. They exude the same kindness, compassion and joy that others who have had the chance to interact with Deidre experienced. We ask for help for her children because they need to know that although their mom was taken by a monster she was also loved by many in and out of her community.
Any help that anyone can provide will assist her kids in many ways. Ashton is autistic, non verbal and has allergies. Amelia has food allergies as well. We want to be able to share with them once they are older that while we mourn and miss her greatly they have gained a village of many individuals from different races, culture, religion, etc. that is sending constant love through the good days to come and the very hard days will still must endure. Thank you all for your prayers and condolences.
To my sister I haven’t been active on social media in almost 2 years now as I have been focusing on having a career and being able to build a future for me and my family and loved ones, but today I couldn’t hold on any longer, I have been on this earth for 31 years now and yesterday was the worst day of my life, my big/little Sister because she was so short was out doing what she loved to do everyday helping children that are in need and her life was taken from the same household that she went to help…but why…what could poses a man no monster to do something like this to someone that is here to help…I still don’t understand. My sister was the most kindest, loving, caring, warm, cheerful, uplifting, generous and willing to help any one in need especially children in broken homes and in the system. She was dedicated to her cause, family, friends and colleagues. My sister always had a smile on here face and could talk anyone’s ears off omg she can keep a conversation going forever but that was the thing she always had good advice to give and made anyone she came in contact with know that she is listening to them and telling what’s in the heart. I still haven’t come to terms with this Nadia…I have still been calling you thinking that you will pick up the phone and tell me I was dreaming…I’m lost and running out of words to say and questions to ask GOD because no answers I here is what I want to here. I love you Nadia and I’m always going to be here for my Niece and Nephew and you already know it’s not goodbye so me will Si yuh lata. I Love You❤️
