Help with Stella's Urgent Medical Need
Donation protected
My best friend was so sweet to create this to help me out so I was going to try and share it here as well. I rescued her from crossing highway 380 in the cold rain 2 weeks ago.. the owners to this sweet girl still haven't answered and I found out she needs surgery as soon as possible for a large bladder stone blocking her urinary tract. I'm taking her in first thing Monday morning. If you could, share this post please and say a little prayer for her! The bills have added up to a little over $1,800 so far. Thank you everyone who helped locate the owners and sharing my original posts! I want to get her back to healthy and give her the love she deserves!

Help save Stella: Abandoned due to medical issues and deserves a second chance!
My best friend found Stella February 10th at about 6:30 PM. It was cold and raining, Stella was about to get hit by cars crossing highway 380 near Paloma Creek in Texas. If you do not know where that is, it’s technically Little Elm, Texas.
My friend got her home to safety and immediately posted her all over Facebook, Nextdoor, and Paw-booster. A nice lady commented saying "This looks a lot like Stella, a dog that I found in front of my house back in November! She seems to be an escapist who does this often. If it is her, she lives in Linden Hills (which is right beside Paloma Creek) and should be micro chipped. I took her to the vet and they were able to contact her parents. Unfortunately, I do not have their info, but you can take her to twin Lakes vet clinic to check if it’s her, or at least check if she/he is micro chipped." (Screenshot of there conversation in post).
My friend said thank you! That’s her and she responds to Stella! I posted it on the Linden Hills page…
On February 11th, my best friend took Stella to the vet to check for microchip. The vet was able to find the microchip, but the name said unknown. They were able to contact the rescue center in Waco, Tx that Stella had been adopted out of back in 2022. Legally the vet cannot give the owners information out to anyone so they had to do the contacting.
A day went by and my friend got a call that the owners were not answering the phone calls, texts, Facebook messenger, or emails. Sadly, we are starting to think she was dumped because she is not trying to escape at all at my friend’s house or run away. She is so good with kids, other dogs, and cats! She knows how to sit, lay down, stay, and shake. I think someone dumped her so they didn’t have to pay for medical issues.
8 days go by and my friend had driven and walked with the Stella all over the neighborhood hoping for Stella to perk up if she saw her home, and still no answer from the owners… on February 18th Stella was urinating frequently and experiencing pain and discomfort while trying to urinate.
So my friend took Stella to the vet and they did a urinalysis and found some small crystals in her urine which could be possibly a UTI or that there is a bladder stone. They gave my friend the option to try to treat it as a UTI with antibiotics or to do Xrays, ultrasound, and blood work to figure out if she had a blockage from a bladder stone or any other underlying conditions but she couldn't afford the x-rays, ultrasound, and blood work so she took the antibiotics and went the cheaper route. After 4 days on antibiotics on February 21st, Stella peed a small puddle of blood inside the house. My friend decided to take a bowl and catch her pee when she would go outside and it was solid red colored with little red splotches here and there which was alarming. She took Stella to the vet that same day and decided to do x-rays, ultrasound, and blood work. Her x-rays came back showing a large bladder stone blocking the urinary tract causing her to strain while urinating. The vet said if you don't do the surgery, it could rupture her bladder.
Please help my best friend if you can. If everyone can donate $1 or $2 it will add up and help!
Stella can get surgery done Monday 02/24 @ 7:30AM.
Donations can still be sent after Monday because my friend is putting the bills on a animal care credit.
Thank you so much in advance to everyone that shares or contributes to Stella’s chance at living. Vet thinks she is about 4 or 5 years old, so she still has a long life to live.
