ABAU Mentoring Program
Each One Teach One. Each One Reach One.
The ABAU Mentoring Program will create a positive educational and financial culture that empowers Antigua and Barbuda Secondary School Students to make informed educational and financial choices. A support team of “Mentors” from around the world will promote educational and financial events that facilitate secondary students’ admission to colleges and trade schools.
The mentors will be responsible for assisting each mentee with creating a Financial Management Plan and Educational Plan. In addition, they will conduct a series of workshops on topics such as resume writing, interviewing skills, job shadowing, budgeting, starting a business, personal improvement, college financing options, wellness, and preparing for college and trade school enrollment. Funds donated will be used for providing technology to mentees as their educational resource and communication source with mentors. Funds will also be used to support community service projects as outlined between the mentee and mentors. Funds will also be used to provide educational workshops for mentees as they seek educational and career venues.
