Abbey Sizer

Meet Abbey, an 18-year-old dairy farmer who has always had a passion for working outdoors and with animals. Unfortunately, a sleepwalking incident on Sunday morning falling 4.5 meters from a second floor window has left Abbey Hospitalised.

The accident took place in Nathalia Victoria, While staying with her friends. Abbey was taken by ambulance to Shepparton Hospital, where she stayed the night before being flown by plane to the Alfred Hospital Trauma Centre in Melbourne.

The staff at Shepparton Hospital were amazing, and Abbey is apprecative of all staff that have helped her along the way. Abbey is scheduled to undergo surgery on February 21st, and her family is doing everything they can to support her during this difficult time.

Abbey suffered severe injuries, including a fractured L4, broken L5, a shattered pelvis in 9 places, and her tailbone being out of place.

Abbey has always been a hard worker, and she's never one to shy away from a challenge. But her recovery will be a long and difficult journey, and she won't be able to work for up to 12 months. Her ambulance, Medical and rehabilitation costs are expected to be substantial, which is why her family has started this fundraiser. Unfortunately, Abbey did not have Victorian Ambulance cover so that alone is going to be very challenging for her.
