Abbie Lapp

Hi, my name is Jennifer Hybarger and I am raising money for my friend Abbie Lapp. Abbie was in a wreck this week and she will have months of recovery, this is to help family with other bills associated with the personal care of her, for her husband to be able to take the time off to help Abbie, and to help support her three young children, plus all the added expenses of driving back and forth to the hospital. Her husband wrote about the wreck:

“For all those who know us, friends, family, etc. Because of questions and curiosity Abbie and I decided we would share this on FB.

My wife Abbie was involved in a head on collision tonight (Monday) around 7:35 pm. in Rockville IN in front of Ace Harware when a jeep renegade crossed into Abbie's lane of travel striking the front driver side of the minivan with pretty significant force. We are currently at union hospital terre haute IN.

I have an update from union hospital terre haute, they are preparing to transport Abbie to Methodist hospital Indianapolis, she has a fractured right ankle and multiple fractures in the left side of her hip plus left hip dislocated.

This will be a long road of recovery for her.

I want to give a special thank you to the Rockville fire dept/ rescue and PCEMS for their swift response, rapid extracation, and extreme care, concern, and professionalism they displayed during the entire event.

Since this post Abbie has had an extensive 3 1/2 hour surgery to fix her fracture hip, the doctors say it will be two to three months of recovery to walk and a year to recover.
