Abbie Mead Rationed & Ready - The Padwives Trials

Donation protected
Hello im Abbie, and I will be raising money ultimately for Combat stress, a charity who help soldiers with injury, mental health issues & PTSD.

The Challenge:

I am a contestant number 16 on the new YouTube series Rationed & Ready - Pad Wife Trials, where we will be participating in a British Military style exercise over 3 days in August 2025. We shall be challenged daily on our physical & mental strength as well as our determination to complete a number of exciting tasks of which include:

- 120 meters abseil drop into a quarry and extraction through cave system

- Ascending a grade 1/2 scramble

- Casualty evacuation including river crossing and helicopter rescue

- Mine shaft extraction

- Hiking and evading capture

Our event mission objective:

Diffuse a bomb which has been planted by enemy forces at a grid reference in order to prevent the destruction of a hydro station ultimately causing flooding of the town of Coniston, a vital urban hub in the defence of our nation. To achieve this, we must navigate to checkpoints, retrieve codes which have been identified by intelligence officers, locate the bomb and diffuse it. The enemy are aware of our objective. They will be searching for us, and, if captures, we will likely be taken as hostages.

This will be filmed and shown on YouTube in a 3/6-part series where you can vote and donate to help raise funds for Combat Stress.

Each contestant is required to raise £300.00 to cover the event. All extra funds raised are donated to Combat Stress.

Please donate to help me achieve my goal.

Combat Stress - The UK's leading veterans' mental health charity who provide clinical treatment and support for veterans from the British Armed Forces.

Funds raised will go towards those who have sacrificed their mental and physical help to protect our country. Veterans with complex mental health conditions need a specialist team made up of different mental health professionals to help them and Combat Stress provide this. Clinical staff work closely with each other and the veteran to develop a treatment plan that best suits their needs. Combat Stress provide highly effective mental healthcare to veterans, focusing on those with complex mental health issues resulting from their experiences during military service.

Thank you for all your support!
