PLEASE HELP Dear Friend's Family's Grandchildren

My name is Debbie Sablan, my husband Frank and I are blessed to be part of a close-knit group of friends and family who have shared many moments together since their days at the Naval Academy and throughout our journey in life. Sadly, we recently learned about the tragic death of Abby and Mike, the daughter and son in law of our dear friends, Sherrie, and Tom. They perished in a car accident in Georgia in late September 2023. Their celebration of life was recently held on their anniversary of over 20 years of marriage. Abby and Mike were high school sweethearts. Their marriage covenant brought forth three beautiful children, Emily, Ian, and Olivia. They experienced family life in different parts of the country and everywhere they journeyed, they were blessed with good friends.

The sudden loss of both parents is devastating and changes their children’s lives forever. We are committed to do everything we can to help them through this life transition and ask all those who want to support Abby and Mike’s children (Tom and Sherrie Shelly’s and Dave and Sue Evans’ grandchildren) by helping us achieve two major goals: First, we would like to offset some of the many expenses incurred by family so far and Second, more importantly is to provide some level of financial support for Emily, Ian and Olivia to navigate this devasting transition in their lives. The three children are in high school and in the initial years of college so we want to help normalize their lives as much as possible by providing monetary support for their studies, activities, and financial obligations that they must now assume as a result of the loss of their parents Many friends and extended family have asked how they can help so we are establishing this as the way to do so.
