Abby Guzman Medical Expense Kidney Transplant

To all Friends, Family, and God sent,

Thank you for taking a minute of your time to read and, if possible, to help our family through this times and rough journey.

On September 9, 2019, we were blessed with our 2nd daughter and Angel. Abby Sofia Guzman, from birth, had many challenges with health, but we kept in faith, and by God's grace and the help of Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, her sickness was finally identified. Our daughter, at time 23 months, was diagnosed with ESRD - End Stage Renal Kidney Disease.

This is the worst news any parent and family want to hear. Again, we kept in faith; our baby Abby had to go through what has been a long and painful journey. With multiple surgeries to help her condition, finally removing her kidneys was the last resort to keeping her alive with lifelong dialysis. Our family kept in faith, and Abby has overcome many challenges. A true God sent an Angel that began our wait for yet another Miracle by way of an organ donor.

At the start of 2024, God blessed us with THE MIRACLE of a donor, which we patiently waited for to change her life. With this opportunity came the possibility of no more dialysis and Treatments, which are very painful for a 4-year-old.

After the procedure, Abby has shown good and positive acceptance of her new Kidney. With many treatments still to come, we have only tapped into what will be our next journey and challenge. Thus, we find ourselves on these forums and asking for support and help from others. Currently, medical expenses, treatments, and caring for our Angel have put us in a financial burden. We are asking again for yet another Miracle.

We can use your help to continue with treatments and facilitate the care she needs to grow up into a normal kid and beyond. Medical costs, copayments, medicines, and therapies are more than we can afford now, but we cannot give up. God has done many miracles that we can attest to, and with our daughter, we are asking for another.
