Nice to have you here, indeed! This is one of many songs our children have learned at ABC to greet and giggle with one another at Kreiszeit, circle time. It is our time to gather together and support this extraordinary school. ABC German School enriches the international flavor of the Seattle area and cultivates an open, global mind, in our youth who will develop and contribute to the world with a broader, more sophisticated perspective.
Approaching almost 30 years of education for children and adults in the Seattle Eastside community, the ABC German School wants to secure its next chapter. Since moving its location to a larger space, ABC has welcomed its first Kindergarten class, enriched its playground activities and equipment, and broadened its pre-K and adult classes. We, the devoted teachers, students, and families of ABC feel passionately about the school and want us all to help usher it through this next phase!
What is this next phase ? Building code upgrades to satisfy fire regulations within the City of Bellevue, WA that are not covered by the property owner. Essentially, this required upgrade will reinforce safety for the building. The only fires in this school, will be the fires in the children’s bellies when baking Brezeln in the ABC kitchen!
How much will it cost ? Yikes. The lowest estimate is $50K. We know the cost only goes up from there. We need your help! Our goal is to raise $15,000 from the community.
How can I help ? Right now, you can help in two ways :
1. Donate through this GoFundMe page or submit a donation to ABC German School directly to show support for this mission. Of course, you can make additional donations to the school at any time.
2. Sign up for Movie Night and treat yourself to some fun and peace
- When : Friday May 20th 5PM-9PM
- Who : ABC students and Siblings 3-8yo
- Minimum Donation: $50 per child (or as large as you can contribute)
- Sign up: At school
Anything else I can do ? Invite your family, parents, neighbors, good friends to contribute. Pass this along! Each donation matters and is appreciated. Additionally, you can spread the word about ABC German School’s new Kindergarten and continued pre-school and adult classes!
