Dear friends, supporters, and fellow (brain and cognitive) science enthusiasts,
We are excited to announce the release of the 17th issue of the ABC Journal, a non-profit student-led initiative from the Research Master in Brain and Cognitive Sciences at the University of Amsterdam. Our goal is to make research in brain and cognitive sciences accessible to everyone - both experts in the field and curious minds new to the subject.
Our team of 15 passionate students is dedicated to producing high-quality content, including:
- Research articles
- Interviews with experts
- Scientific reports
- Peer-reviewed studies
- Book reviews

The journal comes in two formats: printed issues and online articles, ensuring a wide audience reach. However, as our team continues to grow, so do our costs. From rising printing expenses to expanding our digital presence, we seek community support to help sustain and scale our exciting project.
How you can help: your contribution will help us cover essential costs like printing, website maintenance, and promoting our research. Your support will ensure that we can continue to provide (free) access to scientific content that informs and inspires. Even the smallest contribution can make a big difference - think of it as buying us a coffee! With just €5, you’ll support accessible scientific knowledge and help us keep the journal running.
Contribution tiers:
- > €5: Receive a digital copy of the journal and have your name featured in the acknowledgement section.
- > €15: Get both a printed and digital copy of the journal, with your name included in the acknowledgement section.
- > €100: Publish an ad banner in the journal, and receive a printed and digital copy of the journal, along with acknowledgement of your support.
- > €1000: You are amazing! We will take you out for dinner and wash your dishes for a couple of days, plus all the rewards mentioned above.
We truly appreciate any support you can offer - whether through donations or by sharing our project with others who believe in the power of accessible knowledge.
Thank you for helping us grow!
