Abdulhamid Al-sheikh Omar

Dear friends and community members,

At the young age of 29 years old, Abdul-Hamid’s life was cut short as a result of his struggles with mental illness. He passed away on Saturday, June 15th.

Abdul-Hamid was a kind and generous man, well known in the community, and recognized for his sincerity in doing good for others. He was known for his exemplary character, kindness, and devotion to the Muslim community.

Many of Abdul-Hamid's qualities originate from his mother, Fatima, known for her kindness and wisdom. She has dedicated many years to volunteering, teaching, mentoring, and raising her three other sons. She has touched many lives with her generosity and selflessness and was always the one supporting others. Now, in the face of this tragedy, she is in need of support.

The nature of Abdul-Hamid’s death has resulted in extraordinary grief for Fatima and her sons. They are not only afflicted with the death of their son and brother, but they also face the heart wrenching toll of mental illness.

The purpose of this GoFundMe campaign is to help Fatima with funeral expenses and to provide her with financial relief during this time. Losing a child is an unimaginable pain, and we hope to ease some of the burdens she is facing.
