It is with great sadness, we announce the loss of our beloved Abel Taylor (Mellow). On the 18th day of January 2021.

Abel’s Fight For His Life:

Some of you may, or may have not known that Abel was suffering a very rough battle with pancreatitis for the past year. Which later became critical for the last 3 months of his life. While putting up the fight for his life, in and out of the hospital, Abel was then exposed to COVID through his caregiver. Ultimately this led to even bigger health problems. His fevers reached 104 and a water bubble had formed on his pancreas and ruptured. This caused a huge abdominal infection and his body was too weak to continue fighting. He passed shortly after.

About Abel:

Abel was a very special soul. Always welcoming anyone into his home, handing out plates of food to the homeless. Literally giving people the jacket off his back because they were cold.

He endured a very traumatic childhood. Never had it easy in life. In fact he was thrown out of his home at a very young age. He was left to fend for himself, and grow up rapidly. He also suffered homelessness for many years and even then, landing jobs to support his self. It seemed like anytime Abel was doing well for his self, something always came trying to knock him down.

Never the less he always fought for a better life. He made a way, for himself and most importantly his children. Abel knew how to survive, and chase after what he wanted, and he never stopped. Even while experiencing health problems Abel was performing shows, using his lyrical talent. As well as using his culinary experience/ gift making high end meals and sold his dishes. Just to make ends meet while he was enduring a lot of time on dialysis. He hustled. And no one can deny that. There isn’t a soul in this world who could say anything negative about our beloved Mellow.

He made friends on every corner. It didn’t matter where you came from or what you looked like. He showed love and respect to everyone, many of Abel’s friends could vouch for this. He considered his friends his family. He treated everyone equally, but kept his true friends close to his heart. He truly cherished everyone he encountered a friendship with.

Abel’s Living Family:

Abel is survived by his two minor children, Sebastian (5) and Alexis (17).

They both love their dad very much. And nothing we say can replace or take away the pain they are currently experiencing. They are angry, sad, confused, distraught to name a few. But we ask that you continue to lift them in prayer during this time. They greatly need it.

Please help us lay Abel to rest, and give him the proper burial he so much deserves. He truly was, a remarkable father, friend, mentor, man. We will deeply miss you Abel. (MellowFosho)
