Where do we start, Abel Fonseca is by far one of the most generous, kind hearted men in the world. He has touched of the hearts and changed the lives of many people in and out of our community; such as, getting people off the streets, taking food to the homeless, and making a difference in our students' lives with the San Benito School District.
He is a loving father to 4 beautiful children Alexis, Aliyah, Abel, and Alizae Fonseca as well as a devoted husband to Michelle Fonseca.
On July 9, 2018, Abel was diagnosed with Acute Leukemia and despite the hard news he was given he has continued to be just as positive and strong as the days before he was diagnosed. Finding out that someone so close to our heart was was fighting for their life was by far the hardest thing we've ever heard. The first thing that came to mind was, " Why Abel, how can someone with the biggest heart have to go through something so horrible" , but then we remember Abel's words" I have to go through this so that I am able to help more people and let them know that if I can make it so can they...especially children."
Abel, if your reading this, you have touched the hearts of many near and far and we know that by the grace of God you already healed. Our Lord is going to get you through through this battle. Your a fighter and we just have to keep fighting with you one day at a time. You are not alone. I ask that our community continue to pray for Abel and his family. From our lips to God's ears. We ask that everyone in our community please come together and help Fight the Fight for Abel.
Stay strong Champ and we love you.
