Abertillery Belles FC is a womens & girls footbll club.
The club started in 2013 with just a few girls & have grown over the years. The aim of the club was to help girls get into football & off the streets as well as keeping fit.
Over the years we have had girls progress to play & train for development teams which we are extremely proud of.
Our next steps are for one of our girls to be picked to play for Wales (fingers crossed)
Abertillery Belles FC have acquired the Roseheyworth Fields from the Blaenau Gwent Council and now have the task of renovating it. We are hoping to paint and replace the benches in the changing rooms, add a kitchen and hopefully floodlights which will allow the girls to train in the evenings and allow the community to use the pitch when possible, clean the graffiti from the outside & paint then finally make it a safe place for our girls to enjoy playing football.
We are hoping to get most of this started before the start of the season in September, but will be an ongoing process.
