General running of Abertillery & District Museum
Abertillery & District Museum needs you.
Abertillery & District Museum is an accredited museum, that is completely run by volunteers.
We are home to a wide ranging collection from prehistoric era to present day including Iron Age axe head, a pistol possibly used by Chartists and Arthur Scargill’s baseball cap! You can also find a replica shop counter with display cases and shelving at our Bon Marché Shop. Top it all off with some refreshments in a real working Italian café - The Express Cafe.
Due to the pandemic the museum lost earnings from donations, events, the shop and cafe. We have received many kind donations from visitors at the museum recently and many others had enquired about an online donation page. All donations are used for the general running costs of the museum.
Don't forget we are open Thursday - Saturday. 10am until 1pm. We would love to see you.
