Abi in her fight against cancer

Donation protected
Hi Everyone,

Firstly, a huge thank you to everyone who has donated or shared our sister Abi’s, Go Fund Me page. We are full of gratitude, and we’ve been totally blown away by our local communities’ kindness.

Abi has been putting the funds raised to good use and she is booked on to some really promising plant medicine healing retreats. She has also been able to purchase some really important detoxification and immune boosting equipment which has certainly been helping her. Abi’s also been able to access a course of high-dose Vitamin C infusions – something that has been studied at length and shows promising results in killing cancer. Hitting cancer where it hurts costs a lot of money and along with everything mentioned, the funds have also been contributing towards Abi's weekly therapies which are helping to keep her in better health.

A special thanks goes to The Crofty Inn who earlier in the Summer hosted a Fundraiser event for Abi and raised a staggering £5,641!!

The next fundraiser event will be hosted by The King’s Head Inn, Llangennith on Saturday 7th September. The King’s Head kindly reached out to Abi earlier this year to offer their support. Again – we’re all just blown away by how supportive our local community has been. Just wow.

Amazingly, we hit our original goal of £25,000 a couple of months ago! - We’ve since upped our target as cancer therapies and alternative medicine / treatment is very costly and to enable Abi to continue down this path we want to continue our fundraising.

So, for anyone new to Abi’s story, our wonderful sister has been battling cervical cancer since 2020, and since then she’s gone through some horrendous times, in and out of hospital, really fighting for her life and now it’s come back as recurrent advanced “Incurable” cancer.

Her life has completely changed, she is no longer able to work and is trying her best to navigate this new life as best as she possibly can. She’s taken every knock back with such strength and grace, she truly has shown us what resilience and courage looks like.

So a bit about the one we call ab…for starters for those who don’t know her, what an incredible human she is. The most infectious, positive, fun-loving soul you could wish to meet and an amazing aunty to all our little ones. She’s determined, strong willed and the healthiest bugger out of us all. So, as you can imagine, it completely blindsided us all when she was diagnosed back in 2020 with cancer. (Get those smear tests gals).

This year has seen Abi complete 6 gruelling rounds of x3 types of chemotherapy and x2 types of immunotherapies. She has had multiple hospital stays, blood transfusions and two surgeries. She has lost her hair, energy and lots of muscle mass / weight… but none of this has stopped her tenacity for life and she miraculously been able to maintain a “glass half full” approach to every obstacle thrown in her way.

Abi is now on an immunotherapy maintenance plan, having treatment every 3 weeks for up to two years. This is to hold the cancer at bay and isn’t given as a cure.

In true Abi fashion, she is doing everything within her power to help herself and give herself the best chance. Her diet is incredibly healthy, she juices, attends weekly oxygen therapy sessions, acupuncture sessions, chiropractor sessions along with taking a number of supplements and herbs to help her immune system. Her weekly schedule is jam-packed with various protocols and therapies.

Some of the alternative therapies and healing modalities that we want to try, have shown promising results but like anything in life, they come with a great cost. We want to explore things like, intravenous vitamin C therapy, Ozone therapy, antineoplaston therapy and other various award-winning European cancer centres. Clinical trials have shown promising results with these modalities, however, bringing drugs from trial to market takes many years and time is something we’re up against.

Abi is the first person to give to others in need of help and ironically, we or she never thought we would be in this position ourselves one day. With Abi’s recent news of a further cancer recurrence and the prognosis of her only being able to access treatment to control her disease, we are now faced with a worrying reality which has prompted us to create this Go Fund Me page, with a view of raising some funds to go towards these expensive alternative treatments. The treatments we are hoping for Abi to trial cost tens of thousands of pounds, and this is why we are asking for help. It doesn’t matter how little the donation; I can assure you it will be gratefully received.
