My name is Amy and I am raising funds for Abigail and Sam who are expecting a baby in March. Their baby has been diagnosed with a congenital heart defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome . During pregnancy the left side of the heart does not develop normally which will prevent the normal flow of blood through the heart and into the body. Their baby will require close monitoring during pregnancy and a series of surgeries soon after birth.
