Abi's Wheelchair appeal

Hi everyone,

Thank you for taking a moment to read my story. My name is Abi, and I’m reaching out for your support as I navigate life with a rare and incredibly painful condition called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). This occurred as a result of a post surgical complication in January 2023.

CRPS has profoundly impacted my life. It specifically affects my left foot, causing constant, intense pain, swelling, and extreme sensitivity. Simple daily tasks have become incredibly challenging, and my mobility has been severely restricted. I am now in a wheelchair and unable to walk.

To regain some independence and improve my quality of life, I need a bespoke wheelchair tailored specifically to my needs. This custom wheelchair will provide the comfort, support, and mobility that a standard wheelchair cannot. With it, I’ll be able to move around more freely, reduce my pain, and participate in activities I love, bringing a sense of normality back to my life.

The specialized wheelchair comes with a significant cost that is beyond my means. This is why I’m asking for your help. I aim to raise about £3,000 to £5,000 to cover the cost of the wheelchair and any additional customisations that may be required. This will be my 4th wheelchair as unfortunately the other ones have either broken or are no longer suitable for my needs.
