Let's Abolish West Ada's School Lunch Debt

Donation protected
The Idaho EYES Project needs your help clearing lunch debt for thousands of students!

West Ada School District (WASD) is the largest school district in the state of Idaho and serves approximately 40,000 students. For many of these children, school is the only time and place they can reliably count on receiving a nutritious meal. The WASD has indicated that, since the end of the COVID-19 food waiver program this year, the total district-wide school unpaid lunch balance has reached approximately $110,000. This is unacceptable. We as a community must ensure our children are receiving the support necessary to help them succeed in school and life. This is a great starting place!

As part of the WASD "Dig for Change" initiative, this fundraiser has been established to (hopefully!) cover the entirety of the district's school lunch debt. We're aiming high and need your help! We hope you'll join us in the fight to alleviate the financial burden placed on these wonderful students and their families. Donations of ANY amount are welcomed and greatly appreciated, and please feel free to share this with any local businesses or contacts who may be willing to assist.

*Please note: unpaid balances do not prohibit a student from receiving a meal, and students are generally not told they have outstanding fees. Instead, parents are notified and any unpaid balances are covered via the WASD General fund - potentially taking money away from other important projects.
