Abseil for Clatterbridge!
Hi everyone, my name is Tracy. My sister Julie was diagnosed with Myeloma & Amyloidosis in June 2023. She was told it was terminal, and was given 2 months to live - we were absolutely devastated as a family - and as she’d previously been a very fit woman, this news came as such a shock.
Since then, Julie has faced Cancer head on, and I’m in awe of her bravery and determination every single day. She battled through stem cell transplants and countless chemotherapy sessions, and fought through the pain these treatments bring.
Recently, some good news has finally came, that Julie’s blood results are improving, and although her condition remains terminal, the doctors are amazed by her progression, and how well she’s embraced this journey. Doctors are now hoping to keep it at bay, to allow Julie to live her life to the fullest, like she deserves!
My sister was always entering competitions such as Tough Mudder. Now she’s signed up to do an abseil down The Anglican Cathedral - and I’m joining her (even though I’m petrified of heights). I feel it’s the least I can do to support her, when she’s gone through so much, and I’m so grateful that she’s still here with us, thanks to the wonderful work that Clatterbridge do!
The doctors and consultants have been amazing, they fought for my sister’s treatment and for that we’ll be forever grateful - so we’d like to raise funds to support this charity, so more people can get the help they need❤️
