Abuelito Poncho to retire and eye surgery

Hello, I'm Cecille, Abuelito Poncho's granddaughter. I am raising money for my grandpa to retire. Poncho is from a small town in Michoacan, Mexico and unfortunately never had the opportunity to go to school so he can learn basic writing and reading skills. Poncho has always been a hardworking man, he worked in the farms in Mexico since the age of 5 and then he worked in construction to support his wife and kids in the US.
Unfortunately, he has been an undocumented worker his whole life, so he will not be able to claim social security benefits now as he doesn't qualify. Poncho is almost 77 years old. He only worked in construction, worked with farm animals and only speaks Spanish. We don't want him to work anymore, but he doesn't have the luxury to retire due to money.
UPDATE- we took him to the doctor in Mexico and found out how much it would be to have his eye surgery to remove the cataracts. It's way more affordable than the US, as we don't have insurance in the US to afford 6k USD for each eye, but it's still about 1k for each eye. I have updated the goal to reflect the news and have him get his eye surgery so he doesn't go blind.
Update#2- currently I have lost my job and have no way to support the family.
I decided to create a gofund me to raise a little money for his basic needs and his eye surgery and help him out so him and my grandma can afford their basic necessities like food, toiletries, medicine for their eyes and joints, and water.
