Hi, my name is Inno, and I am the Founder of Abundance Farms. Our mission is to get fresh organic produce into the homes of BIPOC families in and out of Ulster County, NY. There are so many people living in places where food apartheid plays a big part in our communities and we aren't even aware of it. We started growing out of public and private spaces in Kingston, NY for our first two seasons. By the end of the second season we had reached about 80 BIPOC families with most of those families being served on a regular basis with a free vegetable share from the farm. We had over 50 volunteers help out this season from the beginning to the end and I honestly think that they are the reason we were able to keep this going because it takes a village in every sense. I appreciate every single one of you kind souls.

We serve BIPOC families because we live in a capitalist society that never appreciated what BIPOC folks bring to the table. And time and time again this same community has been excluded from resources. Resources that would provide access to better opportunities to thrive. Those same opportunities we think of as education, getting a good job, a sustainable job that supports your dreams, adequate medical care, and the whole boasted idea of an American Dream. From the time we're born to the day we die the most important thing is what we consume and that is our food. Food is a basic necessity that not so many people get the right to enjoy it to their liking and Abundance is here to make that happen. To provide access out of love.

 

 

 

We've got a big ask: Can you help us reach our goal of $100,000? These funds would allow us to build infrastructure on our new leased property, purchase tools and supplies, and be able to create a few jobs for BIPOC farmers in the area.
