Urgent Help For Abused Woman & Baby

My name is Stacey and I am raising money for a dear friend named M. Some of you may know her from her incredible art (name withheld for anonymity purposes, please do not mention it if you do know it for her safety). She's a kind, generous, intelligent and strong individual that needs our help.

M has suffered spousal abuse for years now. The abuse has come in many forms: verbal, psychological, physical. To give you a brief run down on just some of the things he has done:
-He will not let her go out and see friends.
-He keeps tabs on her cell phone, internet access and movements.
-He expects her to cook and clean whilst caring for her infant son, whilst also trying to earn money through her artwork (which is something else she is expected to do)
-He has sexually assaulted her.
-He made her quit her career as a tattoo artist to care for him.
-He verbally degrades her, raises his voice to her and assaults her. He does this in front of their child.
-He rarely, if ever, assists in caring for the child.
-Whilst he has not yet assaulted the child, he has shown warning signs of doing so.
-He has attended anger management classes and these have not helped in any way.


Things came to a head recently when this man accused M of letting him 'forget' to take a medication tablet with his dinner. He screamed at her and strangled her with intent to choke her. M is now in fear for her life, her son's life, and is too afraid to make many details public in case he discovers them. He has also threatened suicide if M tries to leave him, so she must do so as quickly and as smoothly as possible.

Funds are needed ASAP. The longer M stays with this man, the more danger she and her child are in.

Any money raised through this platform will go directly to M, and will be used for:
-Temporary accommodation for M and her son until they can get protective housing
-Legal fees for custody filings, restraining orders and divorce papers
-Essentials for her son like diapers, clothes and food
-Essentials for M and her son like medication and food
