Fighting to Stay Alive

Hello, my name is Freedom Johnson and I’ve been working in social services for over 25 years. I’ve had the privilege to interact with people from all walks of life. I have always had a passion for helping others. Rather it was mentoring, supportive services, providing housing, or fostering children, I grew up knowing that assisting the needs of my community was my calling. I’ve always believed in never taking life or my blessings for granted. I am deeply grateful for the life and gifts God has given me.

Recently, I found out that I have Stage 4, Lymphoma Cancer. It has advanced to pancreatic cancer stage 4. Even though this diagnosis has been life changing, I am a strong fighter, and I’m not willing to give up now! God has a purpose for me, and I feel as though he is not done with me yet. For that reason, I cannot provide testimony without going through the test. So, I come to you as humble as I know, asking for support in this fight. Because of my recent diagnosis, my health has changed rather quickly and aggressively. My financial situation has also changed due to prescriptions, doctor bills, transportation, and household costs.

For me to continue with this fight, I’m requesting your support. My financial responsibilities have all become overwhelming, and it would be greatly appreciated to receive any support from the community to help me with my financial needs. Again, I appreciate anything that is given, especially your prayers for me and my family.
