With Medical Expenses

My name is Ceci Mix. My husband Mark and I are the proud parents of PJ (Jocelyn) Anderson. PJ is married to Patrick Sr. and they have two beautiful children. Casey a 7-year-old beautiful girl and Patrick Jr. a handsome 5 year old boy. We are fundraising for PJ (Jocelyn) Anderson

Pj and the family traveled to Tennessee for a wedding, they arrived on

Tuesday the 6th and on Wednesday PJ ended up in the ER because she has been having lower back pain and abdominal pain. After a day and lots of tests and CT scans. They found a mass in her abdomen in an oblong shape, that is pushing on her back and stomach which causes extreme pain. The oncologist says it’s cancer. The Friday after, they did a biopsy.

Mark and I went to Tennessee to pick up the kids, now we are back in Granby. Pj and Patrick won't be back until they get answers and get a treatment plan. The doctors want to approach this aggressively, so they will be doing Chemo once a month, she will be in Memphis for treatment and will be in the hospital each time she gets treatment for about 4 days. Patrick most likely will be going back and forth from Colorado to Memphis, since he can't lose his job and insurance. Patrick's parents have been wonderful in opening their home to them so that’s where they have been staying.

They need help financially with not only medical expenses which will be astronomical but also help with monthly expenses since she will not have an income due to not being able to be in Grand County and by the doctor recommending she not work since her treatment will be very aggressive and will be susceptible to infections if exposed since her immune system will be compromised. This being said is the hardest thing for PJ because she will be away for who knows how long for treatment from her kids.

Pj’s concern when they traveled to Memphis was that when they came back she had an appointment for an ultrasound mammogram, because her latest mammogram showed a mass, needless to say, that didn’t happen. Also, Patrick’s concern was when they got back was that he had an appointment for injections to his back/spine because a few weeks before he had hurt his back, this family has been through a lot and it doesn’t seem that it will get any easier.
