On June 14, 2023, UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, released its annual report on the global displacement crisis. At the end of 2022, 108.4 million people worldwide were forcibly displaced from their homes because of persecution, conflict, violence, human rights violations, and other events that seriously disturbed public order.
