AccessBC Billboard Campaign
Donation protected
As Chair of the AccessBC Campaign I’m excited to announce that we have launched a billboard campaign! With your help, the AccessBC Campaign will be buying billboard space in Vancouver and Victoria. These billboards will help us mobilize people to write to Premier Eby to ask him to include free prescription contraception in the next provincial budget! Donate to join the cause and bring us one step closer to no-cost prescription contraception in BC!
We are aiming to raise $5,000 to cover the costs of renting a billboard in Vancouver-Point Grey (Premier David Eby’s riding) and in Victoria (along the Patricia Bay Highway between the airport/ferry and the city). If there are sufficient funds remaining, we will also put up a billboard in the vicinity of the Minister of Health’s community office.
This billboard will remind the Premier that the BCNDP promised to make all prescription contraception free during the last election. It will also bring visibility to the campaign and mobilize constituents in the area to write to the Premier and Minister of Health prior to the next provincial budget.
We will select a final location based on billboard availability, cost, and funds available. The goal is to rent the billboards for the month of January. Billboards in downtown Vancouver cost between $1,200 and $4,000 depending on the location. We are aiming to raise $5,000, which will give us enough funds to install at least two billboards. As a stretch goal, we will install an additional billboard near the community office of the Minister of Health.
