Requesting Support for Nessa

Hi everyone,

My name is Mac, and I'm reaching out with a deeply personal request on behalf of my Boo, Nessa, someone I’m certain many of us care about. Nessa has been in my life for a decade and a half, and I cannot describe in short summary how much her love and support have meant to me.

Over all of the years we’ve shared I have had the joy of watching Nessa evolve and grow, every new development overflowing with sparkle and beauty. Whether it has been the way I see her glow when she talks about her dreams or watching her practicing aerials at Suspend, it’s truly been an honor to get to witness her journey over the last many years.

I’ve started this GoFundMe to hopefully raise funds for the necessary medical care that will complete the final steps of Nessa’s current transition needs. To highlight her story in this fundraising campaign, I asked if she would share a bit about that journey, and the following is what she shared with me:

For most of my life I could tell that my gender identity differed from the sex I was assigned at birth. Coming from a deeply conservative environment, it took me a painstakingly long time to break free from its constraints and influences.

As I found the freedom to explore my sense of self and embrace my true self, I embarked on an incredibly liberating and life-giving transformation. Every step I took brought me closer to feeling more comfortable and confident in my body, enabling me to live a happier, healthier, and more authentic life. However, I still have a few crucial procedures left to complete this journey.

I’ve been incredibly fortunate to meet so many wonderful people along the way and to find medical professionals who have been caring and compassionate in their fields of expertise. They’ve provided me with the care I’ve received so far. While I started the medical transition process years ago, I still need to complete the remaining crucial procedures. I appreciate any and all assistance I can receive along the way.

Unfortunately for Nessa, these necessary medical procedures and treatments are incredibly expensive. This is where I'm hoping you can help.
