Accomplish Challenge

Vicki Crossley-Gaunt is organizing this fundraiser to benefit JERRY CLAY ACADEMY PTA.

We're launching the Accomplish Challenge in 2024 and we won't stop until we hit our target! This challenge is driven by Jerry Clay Academy Pupils, Parents, Family and Friends- WE NEED YOU!

Our target this year is £20,000 to install brand new Trim Trail, as the one we have, which is located on the outdoor play area, is over 13 years old.

What is a Trim trail? It is an obstacle course made up of outdoor exercise stations, to develop balance, strength and coordination. The equipment makes exercise more interesting and work a few more muscles. This is important in school settings to develop children's life skills and improve mental wellbeing. Outdoor trim trails help promote social interaction and skill building. Many of the obstacles requires the child to test their gross motor skills, coordination and upper body strength. For our younger pupils this helps build strength to hold a pencil, that's right who knew!

We hope everyone gets involved and no doubt you will have plenty of time over the summer holidays to complete your own challenge.

So why not give it a go? Here are some ideas for a challenge; walking, running, reading, group work, ice bucket, skip/jump-a-thon, swim, dance. The possibilities are endless.
