Aislynn's Professional Golf Career
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Aislynn Merling and I am a recent graduate of Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Oh. While at Youngstown State University, I earned my degree in Marketing with a minor in Entrepreneurship. During my time at YSU I was able to live out one of my life long dreams of being a D-I student athlete playing on the women's golf team. Throughout my collegiate career I was able to taste the triumphs of success in winning the Horizon League Championship, and also being named to the All-Horizon League Team.
Since graduation I have moved from my hometown of Lancaster, Pa to Pittsburgh, Pa. I am currently an Assistant at Olde Stonewall Golf Club working towards a career as a PGA Golf Professional.
Growing up golf became my true passion. I always enjoyed practicing and competing in junior events growing up. Since day one I had the desire to compete at the highest of levels; NCAA DI golf, amateur events, and eventually professional events. The latter is where I am at now but the costs are outrageous. My family has always supported my dreams emotionally and financially with my parents working countless hours to support my goals; I will never be able to thank them enough. But that was then and this is now. Junior and regional amateur events cost a small portion compared to playing nationally at the professional level. Between entry fees, travel, lodging, practice, and food, a week playing professionally averages $1,000! I simply cannot afford this at 23 and cannot continue to put this burden on my parents.
I have the determination and drive to compete at the highest level. I understand the commitment that it requires and I am prepared to give it my all. Some of the events and tours I will be competing in include the National Women’s Golf Association (formerly known as the Suncoast Tour), the Cactus Tour, State Opens, LPGA Qualifiers, Canadian Women’s Tour, and returning to LPGA Q-School. The near future includes the NWGA Florida Winter Series that starts in January running through March.
Not only am I looking for donations but I am looking for sponsors as well. If you or someone you know is looking to sponsor please contact me with the information below. When competing I will use a company logo’d bag, golf balls and apparel to connect the business with my golf game. Those who choose to sponsor and support my career will in return get a true professional representative on and off the golf course. More information can be provided on sponsorships upon further contact.
Whether you are a donor or sponsor, any help will be greatly appreciated. It could be covering an entry fee or a meal on the road, anything will help my goals be reached!
Follow my progress through my Facebook and Instagram to keep up with my latest events and postings. Please email me at [email redacted] for any further information or questions. Thank you!
